USACE West Point Lake Transitioning to Automated Fee Machines

MOBILE, Ala. –  The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at West Point Lake announces it will resume fee collections on Monday, August 2, 2021, following the temporary hiatus of fee collections that had been put in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic emergency. New cashless automated machines have been installed to provide a safer means of collecting user fees.

Fee machines are located at the following 8 locations:

  • Anderson Day Use Area Boat Ramp
  • Horace King Day Use Area Boat Ramp
  • R. Shaefer Heard Day Use Area Boat Ramp
  • Yellow Jacket Day Use Area Boat Ramp
  • Yellow Jacket Day Use Area Beach
  • Glass Bridge Day Use Area Boat Ramp
  • Earl Cook Recreation Area
  • Rocky Point Recreation Area

The Boat Launching and Day Use Fee at the listed locations is $5 per vehicle per day. These machines only accept major credit and debit cards, no cash. The receipt that is dispensed after the transaction must be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle as proof of your user fee payment.

No fees will be required for those who properly display the Corps of Engineers Annual Day Use Pass or the America The Beautiful Passes.
