Published May 16, 2018

Mobile, Alabama – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Allatoona Lake announced today that Allatoona Lake Hunting Permits for the 2018/2019 hunting season are now being accepted. A $20.00 special activity permit fee will be accessed on all permits issued.

Allatoona Lake Project Hunting Permits include: permit number, name, pertinent State hunting license number, regulations, and a dashboard pass that must be displayed in vehicle while hunting.

Permits will be available starting May 01, 2018, and may be obtained by submitting a request by mail to include the hunter’s name, address, telephone number, pertinent State hunting license number, e-mail address, self-addressed stamped envelope and check or money order. All hunters are required to have a permit in order to hunt within USACE hunting areas. If multiple hunting permits are to be purchased by single request, all the above information will have to be provided for each hunter.  All incomplete applications will be returned.

Each year 400 permits are issued to hunters who utilize the current 2,777 acres of public land available for this activity.  These permits do not apply to the Allatoona Wildlife Management Area, operated by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Hunting area maps and a copy of current hunting regulations may be viewed or obtained from the Allatoona Lake website at: www.sam.usace.army.mil/Missions/CivilWorks/Recreation/AllatoonaLake/Hunting.aspx.

Checks should be made out to:  F&A Officer Mobile District, COE.  Please do not send cash.
