CHATTAHOOCHEE, Fla. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, announced today that Jim Woodruff Powerhouse Road and North River Landing Road at the Lake Seminole Project Management Office in Chattahoochee, Fla. will be closed to the public, March 4-6, for an interagency training exercise.

During the same timeframe, the public will also be restricted from accessing the Lower Pool Access Area, West Bank Overlook, and the parking area adjacent to the Jim Woodruff Dam entrance.

The Army Corps of Engineers routinely hosts military, law enforcement and first responder units for annual training.  When safety and security of the public or personnel involved in the exercise is at risk, the Corps of Engineers generally elects to close that portion of the project.

Corps’ personnel and local law enforcement will be onsite to provide security throughout the training exercise.

For more information on the road and access area closures, please contact the Lake Seminole Project Management Office at (229) 662-2001 or visit us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/USACELakeSeminole/.
