Playground Improvement Underway at West Point Lake

MOBILE, Ala.--The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, (USACE) Mobile District at West Point Lake announced that efforts have begun to replace aging playground equipment in various parks around the reservoir. The existing playground equipment is more than 20-years-old and has become outdated. A total of 12 playgrounds are scheduled to be replaced. All of the outdated equipment is being removed. Hardley Creek and Eagle View Parks will receive new equipment this year. Other parks will be fitted with new equipment later this year and in subsequent years. [Read More]

Earn a complimentary annual day-use pass

MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) - Allatoona Lake and Lake Sidney Lanier Project Offices, two of the most visited USACE lakes in the South Atlantic Division, are conducting a pilot program to promote water and boating safety by recognizing Georgia residents, 18 years of age or older, that earn and provide a certificate from an authorized Safe Boating Class to receive a complimentary USACE annual day use pass, valid for one year.
