    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District is hosting a career fair Tuesday, May 21, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the GulfQuest National Maritime Museum, located at 155 South Water Street in downtown Mobile.
  • RESTORATION OF SHIP ISLAND CELEBRATED ON MAY 29

    MOBILE, Ala. - The National Park Service and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will come together on Wednesday, May 29 to celebrate the restoration of Ship Island, Mississippi. Representatives from the Department of the Interior, the United States Army, as well as Members of the regional Congressional delegation and the State of Mississippi will be on hand to celebrate the restoration. On the island, project leaders will host attendees and the media, demonstrating the progress of the coastal restoration project to date. Representatives will participate in a ceremonial “ground-building” finalizing the closure of the Camille Cut.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, will host a Town Hall meeting, Feb. 22, to discuss the progress of the Mobile Harbor General Reevaluation Report study with the public. The event is open to the public.
  • Corps of Engineers to visit local hospital during National Engineers Week

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Mobile District, is scheduled to visit the University of South Alabama Children’s & Women’s Hospital, Feb. 20, as part of the district’s National Engineers Week outreach program. During the visit, engineers will teach the children about the USACE mission, hold an interactive bridge-building activity, and hand out Mardi Gras-themed items.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District and the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management are scheduled to host an open house to update the public on the status of the Proctor Creek Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study, Sept. 21.
